There are three commonly used methods to heat shrinkable tubes: lighter, heat-gun, and oven.

Heat-shrinkable tubes are made of high quality polymers, which are scientifically formulated and mechanically co-mingled into polymer alloy, and then irradiated by electron accelerator for cross-linking and continuous expansion after moulding. The product has the advantages of environmental protection, soft, flame retardant, fast shrinkage, stable performance and so on. Widely used in wire connection, solder joint protection, wire ends, wire harnesses and electronic components protection and insulation treatment, wire and other product marking.
There are three commonly used methods to heat shrinkable tubes: lighter, heat-gun, and oven.

First one is lighter.

The lighter is our commonly used heating tool, but the external temperature of the flame is as high as thousands of degrees, which is much greater than the shrinkage temperature of the heat shrinkable tube, so we must pay attention to moving back and forth when using the lighter to bake, so that the heat shrinkable tube is heated evenly as a whole to prevent burning the heat shrinkable tube or making the shape of the heat shrinkable tube ugly. But in reality, we often can't control the temperature of the lighter and easily burn the heat shrinkable tube, so it is recommended to use professional heating tools.

Second method is using heat-gun.

Heat gun is a more professional heating tool, but the commonly used heat gun temperature can also reach 400 ℃, the use of heat gun is not likely to burn out the heat shrinkable tube, but we still have to keep shaking the heat gun back and forth, so that the heat shrinkable tube is evenly heated as a whole to ensure the shape of the heat shrinkable tube after shrinking. Open the heat gun, preheat the whole section of the object to be set with heat shrinkable tube, and the heating should be uniform, so that the temperature of the object is higher than the ambient temperature, about 60 ℃; Put a suitable length of sleeve on the object, and wear protective gloves during operation to avoid heat burns. Use a heat gun to heat the heat shrinkable tube, heating should be slowly and evenly heated from one end to the other, or from the middle to both ends, it is forbidden to heat from both ends to the middle, so as to avoid bubbles and bloating; When there is a bend when heating, the inner bend should be heated first, and then the outer bend should be heated, which can avoid the wrinkle of the heat shrinkable tube at the bend; When heating, the heat gun should be moved evenly to make the casing evenly heated, and the local temperature should not be too high, resulting in the phenomenon that the heat shrinkable tube is scorched or cold; After heating, after the heat shrinkable tube cools, use an electrical knife to cut the heat shrinkable tube at the lap joint as required, and when drawing the casing, the force should not be too large to avoid damage to the object. After processing, if there are stains on the surface of the heat shrinkable tube, it should be wiped clean with an alcohol rag.

The last one is oven.

The number of heated heat shrink tubes is large, and it is recommended to use an oven. The normal shrinkage temperature of heat shrink tubing should be 125±5°C, above this temperature, if irregular mixing is placed in the oven, there is a risk of sticking and causing the product to break. Therefore, when heating the oven, pay attention to the uniform arrangement and do not pile together, so as not to cause the occurrence of the above problems. Open the oven, adjust the temperature to about 60 °C ~ 70 °C, and preheat the whole section of the object to be set with heat shrinkable tube for 5 minutes; Take out the heating object from the oven, put the heat shrinkable tube of suitable length on the object, and wear protective gloves during operation to avoid heat burns. According to the information provided by the heat shrinkable tube manufacturer, after selecting the appropriate temperature and heating time, use the oven to heat the heat shrinkable tube, pay attention to the objects placed in the oven should not be too crowded, so as to avoid the heat shrinkable tube heat shrinking force caused by the heat shrinkage effect is not good; After the heating is over, after the heat shrinkable tube cools, use an electrical knife to cut the heat shrinkable tube at the lap joint as required, and when scratching the casing, the force should not be too large, so as not to damage the object; After processing, if there are stains on the surface of the heat shrinkable tube, it should be wiped clean with an alcohol rag.
